What's Happening: The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 10:45 PM EDT. At 10:04 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Bay View, or near Elkton, moving northeast at 30 mph. Radar indicates 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding.

Highways impacted include the New Jersey Turnpike near exit 1, the Pennsylvania Turnpike near mile marker 312, I-95 in Pennsylvania near mile marker 0, I-95 in Delaware between mile markers 1 and 23, and I-295 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 9.

  • Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for your protection.
  • Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
  • To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to NWS Mount Holly.
