What's Happening: The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Flash Flood Warning. At 4:17 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, with 1.5 to 3 inches of rain already fallen. Rainfall rates of 1.5 to 3 inches per hour are expected, and an additional 1 to 2 inches is possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

- Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
- Expect flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as other drainage and low-lying areas.
- Move to higher ground if you are in a flood-prone area.
- Do not walk through moving water — even a few inches can knock you off your feet.
Why Now: Thunderstorms are producing training heavy rainfall over the warned area, with radar-indicated rates of 1.5 to 3 inches per hour overwhelming drainage in central and southern Delaware.
