🌊 Atlantic & Surf DE DNREC’s fresh report says the early morning bite on incoming water produced spot, croaker, and kings, with skates and dog sharks still abundant along the beach. That is a steady summer surf pattern: fish the first push of water, keep bait in the wash, and expect more mixed-bottom action than a clean, target-only bite. Confidence: good.

🟦 Delaware Bay Delaware Bay is the clearest active zone in this cycle. Patty at Captain Bones reported white perch and catfish at Augustine Beach, with perch on bloodworms or Fishbites and catfish on cut bait; croaker were also caught at Woodland Beach fishing pier, and Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic reported croaker at Woodland Beach and Port Mahon on bloodworms and Fishbites. DE DNREC also noted slot stripers on peeler crab at the Augustine Wall and Bowers Beach Jetty, plus flounder on jigs at Bowers Beach. Confidence: good.

🟩 Chesapeake Bay (MD) MD DNR was unavailable this cycle (client 404), so there is no fresh state-report detail to pin to the Maryland Bay zone. Treat the Bay as a tide-and-weather decision this week, especially if you are running a longer boat ride or planning to fish moving structure and channel edges. 🟨 Inland Bays Indian River Inlet remains one of the stronger options in the report. Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the night shift continued to find striped bass from the jetties up until 5 a.m., with plugs and bucktails taking fish to well over 35 inches that were released. During daylight, triggerfish, tog, and sheepshead were caught from the inlet on sand fleas close to the rocks, and flounder were taken on a live minnow or a strip of squid on a jig head down-current of structure. Patty at Captain Bones said largemouth bass were caught at Garrisons Lake, Lum’s Pond, and Lake Como on chatter baits and swim baits; Steve at Smith Bait added that snakeheads were caught on surface frogs at Garrison’s Lake.
