SPC has upgraded Tuesday to an Enhanced Risk for severe weather across much of Delmarva, and a Flood Watch is now posted for New Castle and Somerset counties starting tomorrow morning.
What's Changed Since This Morning: The big shift is on the severe side: SPC's Day 2 outlook now peaks at Enhanced Risk over Wilmington, Dover, Lewes, Salisbury, and Ocean City — an upgrade from Slight earlier today. NWS Mount Holly just issued a Flood Watch for New Castle (DE) and Somerset (MD) counties, in effect from 6 AM Tuesday through 2 AM Wednesday. Today itself remains quiet and sunny; the changes are all pointed at Tuesday's setup.
Current Severe Weather Picture: Day 1 stays at General Thunderstorms across the peninsula from Wilmington down to Cape Charles, and radar is quiet locally this afternoon. The real story is Tuesday, when the Enhanced Risk brings the potential for damaging wind, hail, and flash flooding as showers and storms return. Any heavy rainfall today is confined to southern Virginia and northeast North Carolina — well south of Delmarva.

Overnight stays dry and quiet with light southeast winds; PoPs across all sampled points are 4% or less.
