Small Craft Advisories in effect across the lower Bay and VA coastal waters through early morning, then conditions ease for the day.
Today on the Water: SCAs run until 6-7 AM across the mid and lower Chesapeake, tidal Potomac, Tangier Sound, and VA coastal waters out 20 NM. Once they expire, a cold front slides through with a shot of northwesterly gusts to 15-20 kt and a chance of showers/thunderstorms late. Radar is quiet across Delmarva right now.
Atlantic Coastal Waters (Lewes → southern VA coast): SCA down south (Parramore to NC border) until 7 AM. Behind that, winds settle NW 5-10 kt tonight, backing E after midnight. Seas 2-3 ft with a S 3 ft at 7-second swell. Patchy fog possible.
Delaware Bay: Lightest zone today — no active alert. Expect a light, manageable chop with the frontal passage. Watch for isolated afternoon showers, but nothing organized on radar at this hour.
Chesapeake Bay & Delmarva-facing Waters: SCAs from North Beach south through the CBBT expire 6-7 AM. Behind the front, W winds 10-15 kt shift N in the afternoon with gusts to 20 kt, waves around 1-2 ft. Showers and thunderstorms likely late — winds and seas will spike in any cell.
Wind & Seas Outlook: Quieter Monday. Tuesday night is the story: SW 20-25 kt building to 25-30 kt with gusts to 35 kt and seas 6-7 ft, occasionally to 10 ft offshore.

Best Window to be Out: Mid-morning to early afternoon (roughly 9 AM–2 PM) after SCAs drop and before any late-day thunderstorms fire.
Worst Window: Late afternoon into evening if storms develop — and stay in Tuesday night.
Bottom Line: Wait out the early SCA, then it's a workable Sunday on the water — just be off before the late storms.
