Today on the Water: No active marine alerts, but NEXRAD is lit up with cells near Lewes, Ocean City, and Chincoteague — including a 51 dBZ core just WSW of Lewes and a mesocyclone signature 7 nm SW. Most cells are tracking W/WSW, moving onshore rather than offshore. Lightning risk is real over the nearshore waters through midday.
Atlantic Coastal Waters (Lewes → southern VA coast): NE winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts to 20 kt, easing to 5 to 10 kt late. Seas built on E 2 ft at 5 seconds and SE 1 ft at 8 seconds. Showers likely this morning, tapering to a chance this afternoon. Best relief comes late in the day as winds back off.
Delaware Bay: NE 5 to 10 kt, veering E this afternoon. Seas 1 foot or less — the calmest zone on the board once the morning cells clear east of the Bay mouth.
Chesapeake Bay & Delmarva-facing Waters: NE 10 to 15 kt gusting 20 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt late. Waves running E 2 ft at 5 seconds and SE 1 ft at 8 seconds. Showers likely this morning, chance of showers this afternoon.
Wind & Seas Outlook: Light easterly flow holds through Sunday. Winds crank up Monday night as S/SW flow builds, peaking Tuesday with SW 15 to 20 kt, gusts to 25 kt, and seas 3 to 4 ft occasionally to 6 ft offshore.
