Radar shows one 34 dBZ cell 36 miles WSW of Dover moving WSW at 16 knots—away from the Delaware coast—but thunderstorms remain the main operational concern this afternoon. No active marine alerts are posted.
Atlantic Coastal Waters (Lewes → southern VA coast): SE winds around 5 knots with seas 2 to 4 feet; the mixed SE and E swell will keep the ride uneven despite light wind. Patchy fog is possible this morning, with showers and thunderstorms becoming more likely this afternoon. Sunday offers the cleaner window: E winds 5 knots becoming SE, with seas around 2 feet.
Delaware Bay: Winds shift from E around 5 knots through SW late this morning, then N early this afternoon and NE late; seas stay 1 foot or less. Fog is possible early, followed by showers and thunderstorms late this morning into the afternoon. Tonight, winds turn N 10 to 15 knots after midnight and seas build to 1 to 2 feet.
Chesapeake Bay & Delmarva-facing Waters: SW winds 5 to 10 knots with gusts up to 15 knots become SE late, with 2-foot SW and E waves. Showers are possible this morning, with showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. A few strong afternoon thunderstorms are possible.
