South winds strengthen across Chesapeake Bay waters today and may flirt with marginal small-craft conditions this evening.
Atlantic Coastal Waters (Lewes → southern VA coast):
SE winds around 5 kt become south this afternoon, with seas 1 to 2 ft and a northeast swell around 2 ft at 7 seconds.
Today is the best Atlantic window before the stronger southerly pattern arrives later in the period.
Showers are expected Sunday night as seas build to 4 to 5 ft, occasionally 7 ft.
