USWW Delmarva FishCast — Red drum, perch, and blue catfish lead a mixed Delmarva week as offshore tuna and inlet blues stay active.

Overview As of 2026-10-16, this week’s picture is a mixed coastal fall bite: surf red drum, inlet bluefish, Delaware Bay perch and catfish, and strong freshwater blue catfish in the Nanticoke. The cadence is Friday-main, and the Delaware report came in fresh on 2026-10-15 20:21 UTC, while MD DNR was unavailable this cycle, so Maryland bay coverage is lighter than usual.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Surf reds, Bay perch, and inlet blues lead the midweek Delmarva bite

Overview This Tuesday mid-week FishCast is a snapshot of the Delmarva bite as of 2026-10-13. The water-temperature set is holding in the low-to-mid 60s from offshore through Delaware Bay, and that matches the report mix: surf red drum, Delaware Bay perch/stripers/catfish, inlet bluefish, and a few reef-oriented fish around the rocks and structure. Friday remains the main weekly report; this mid-week update is the check-in between those larger cycles.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Surf and inlet action lead Delmarva this week, with red drum, bay perch, and a sea bass regulation reminder

Overview As of 2026-10-09, the pattern across Delmarva is a late-season transition: mid-60s water in the nearshore Atlantic and Delaware Bay, unsettled weather offshore, and better results from the surf, jetties, and inlets than from boats. This is the Friday main report; if conditions shift mid-week, those changes tend to show up in the Tuesday-style updates when they are available. MD DNR was unavailable this cycle, so the clearest public signal comes from DE DNREC, NOAA, a

USWW Delmarva FishCast — White perch and catfish lead Delaware Bay as surf access stays closed after the nor'easter

## Overview This Tuesday mid-week FishCast is a snapshot as of 2026-10-06, built from the latest DE DNREC report (updated 2026-10-01), NOAA NDBC water temperatures, NOAA CO-OPS tide predictions, and USGS river gauges. MD DNR was unavailable this cycle, so the Maryland side is thinner than usual; the strongest actionable reports are coming from Delaware Bay and the inland bays.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Post-storm Delmarva waters are muddy, but white perch, catfish, tog and black sea bass are still showing

Overview As of 2026-10-02, this is the Friday main report, and the biggest signal is post-storm water quality rather than a single dominant species. Delaware DNREC says the nor'easter left beaches closed because erosion created a steep drop-off, while the rivers are muddy after heavy rain and very high tides. That combination explains why the week is split between a few reliable structure bites and several zones with thin or limited reports.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Nor’easter keeps most of Delmarva quiet; bluefish only confirmed bite at Indian River Inlet

Overview This Tuesday mid-week FishCast is mostly a weather report rather than a broad bite report. As of 2026-09-29, the nor’easter has kept most saltwater effort off the water, while the bundle’s only clear fish report was bluefish at Indian River Inlet on metal lures during incoming water. The water picture is also mixed: Delaware Bay buoy 44009 is still showing 78.3°F, while the nearby offshore readings at Cape May and Long Island are in the mid-60s.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Nor’easter keeps most Delmarva reports thin; bluefish at Indian River Inlet on incoming tide

Overview This is the Friday main Delmarva FishCast for 2026-09-25, and the source bundle is dominated by a nor’easter that kept a lot of boats and beach anglers off the water. The bite mix still looks like late-summer to early-fall transition water, but weather and sea state were the main filters this week; there was no Tuesday mid-week lift in the bundle, so this snapshot leans heavily on the Delaware report, NOAA buoy/tide data, and USGS gauge readings.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Delaware Bay perch and catfish lead a DE-heavy midweek report, with surf spot/croaker and jetties stripers on eels.

## Overview As of Sept. 1, 2026, this week's reports are a Delaware-heavy midweek snapshot. The strongest reads come from warm inshore water, steady tide movement, and a clear contrast between the Bay buoy at 78.6°F (44009) and the cooler offshore reading at 72.5°F (44025), which fits the mixed mix of beach fish, reef fish, and boat-dependent offshore catches. This is the Tuesday midweek cadence, so treat it as a current snapshot rather than a full Friday main.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Late-August Delmarva mixes surf spot and croaker, Bay perch and catfish, and Inland Bays stripers with flounder in the ocean

## Overview As of 2026-08-28, the weekly pattern across Delmarva is a late-summer mix of warm estuary water, steady tidal movement and a species spread that favors both shore and nearshore anglers. This is the Friday main report; treat it as the primary weekly snapshot, with mid-week changes only when agencies publish new data. DE DNREC had the strongest actionable bite report this cycle, while MD DNR was unavailable, so the Chesapeake Bay section is necessarily thinner than

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Late-summer mix as of 2026-08-21: surf spot and croaker, Bay perch and catfish, inlet flounder, and scattered freshwater bass

Overview This is the Friday main report for 2026-08-21. The water is still warm across the region, with NOAA NDBC readings from 70.5°F in Delaware Bay to 77.4°F near Cape May, and that matches a late-summer mixed bag: surf spot and croaker, Bay white perch and catfish, inlet flounder and triggerfish, plus freshwater bass and snakeheads. MD DNR was unavailable this cycle, so Maryland-specific detail is limited; treat those areas as thin and verify before running long. Cadence

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Warm water, active inshore Delaware bite, and thin Maryland detail as of Aug. 14

## Overview As of 2026-08-14, the Delmarva bite is tracking like a late-summer pattern: warm water, decent inshore activity, and stronger fish holding where the structure, tide, and bait line up. NOAA NDBC buoy data shows Delaware Bay at 79.0°F, Long Island offshore at 77.9°F, and Cape May, NJ at 73.9°F, which fits the mixed report from DE DNREC: croaker and spot are dominating the inshore picture while tunas are still showing in the deep.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Spot, croaker, and kingfish hold the surf while Delaware Bay and Indian River Inlet carry the most reliable summer action.

## Overview As of 2026-08-11, this Tuesday midweek snapshot points to a familiar late-summer pattern: warm inshore water, a useful tide cycle, and a mixed bag of surf, bay, inlet, and freshwater fish. NOAA NDBC shows Delaware Bay at 77.5°F, Long Island offshore at 79.2°F, and Cape May at 73.2°F, while NOAA CO-OPS has usable highs and lows lining up through the day at Lewes, Reedy Point, Ocean City Inlet, and the other key stations. This is the midweek check-in, so treat it as

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Spot, croaker, kingfish, flounder, and white perch lead the Delmarva read as of 2026-08-07

Overview This Friday main FishCast is built from a fresh DE DNREC report, NOAA buoy and tide products, and USGS gauges. Water temperatures are still warm enough to keep a mixed bite moving through the surf, bays, and freshwater spillways, while the Maryland side is a lighter read this week because MD DNR was unavailable; a Tuesday mid-week update often helps separate the better bite windows from the filler hours.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Midweek Delmarva FishCast: surf kingfish, Delaware Bay perch and croaker, Indian River bluefish, and a thin Maryland read

Overview This is the Tuesday mid-week FishCast for 2026-08-04. Summer water temperatures are holding in the mid-70s at the nearshore and bay buoys, which fits the mixed bag of surf kingfish, bay perch and croaker, inlet bluefish, and freshwater snakeheads. MD DNR was unavailable this cycle, so the Chesapeake section is necessarily thin; Friday's main report should add more Maryland detail if the state report returns.

USWW Delmarva FishCast — Delaware Bay perch and inlet bluefish lead a warm, tide-driven Delmarva weekend

## Overview This is the Friday main Delmarva FishCast as of 2026-07-24, and the clearest pattern this week is that the Delaware-side bite held together better than the Maryland-side report cycle. Delaware DNREC reported good fishing despite thunderstorms, while Maryland DNR was unavailable this cycle, so the Bay-to-beach picture leans more on NOAA tides, NDBC water temperatures, and USGS river gauges than on a fresh Maryland bite summary.
